On Being Left Alone

Alone not lonely

These are lonely times. I have been staying close to home ever since the lock-down. I know… a story should be written, or a tall tale told. Perhaps. I do find myself working on art more… I was looking through my phone camera files, and found a hand. I don’t remember taking it, must have been at a party the night it happened. It was my hand as I turned a light out.

I have always had the ability to see images in nature. God created the world and I am sure he hid little messages for us to find and help us on our trail through life.

Sometimes it may be a friend, lover, teacher, parent who passes the messages. For others it may be a sign heard in music, art, poetry, a damn good novel.

When I looked at the hand I saw years of experience and the work of an artist and author. I saw my life and my love of life. Looking deeper into the great abyss I noticed an animal residing in the hand. Looks like he’s smoking a cigar? No… A… Stick? And is that water ripples or wrinkles?

Like playing with puzzles enjoying the world around is is A great diversion from time. Every time I work on a piece of art, it lets me think deeply. And thinking deeply is important in understanding the world and ourselves. Listen to those voices. The good one to the left, and the little snot to the right. You know them. It’s me, myself, and I.

In these times we have to trust that we are in control of the situation, or we know who and how to ask for help. Remember… ask for help. So I am alone but for my many thoughts. Sometimes they can be serious, other times they are light and FUNNY. (crazy)  I will be working on this site regularly. Having to stay alone has it’s benefits.
